Located at 8620 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh, NC, the expansive showroom showcases hundreds of customizable options in every height, finish, and fabric, with a strong emphasis on North American craftsmanship and heirloom-quality construction. For generations, Barstools & Dinettes has stood apart by focusing on a hands-on, customer-first experience — encouraging visitors to see, measure, and test each piece in person before making a purchase. That same dedication to personalization now extends beyond the showroom. Beginning in October 2025, the company is introducing a new In-Home Consultation Service designed to bring its expertise directly to customers’ spaces. This service allows clients to receive professional guidance on furniture scale, finish coordination, and layout planning right in their own homes, ensuring every selection is both functional and perfectly matched to their lifestyle. While dining and bar furnishings remain at the heart of its business, Barstools & Dinettes continues to evolve with its customers’ needs — expanding its offerings to include outdoor dining, buffets, hutches, and custom bedroom collections. The Barstools & Dinettes Furniture Design & Acquisition Process
As a Furniture Acquisition Expert specializing in interior design and space planning, my goal is to ensure that every piece we provide not only fits your home perfectly but also enhances how you live in it. Our process is designed to be personal, efficient, and seamless from start to finish — with every step handled by our own experienced team, never outsourced.
We believe furnishing your home should be a guided, stress-free experience — one that blends expert design support with high-quality, customizable furniture. As furniture acquisition specialists and an established local retailer, we offer a level of care and expertise you won’t find at big-box stores.
It all begins with our furniture discovery questionnaire

Once submitted, we call you to review your responses and answer your questions. This usually leads into setting up a convenient time to conduct an in-home consultation. If you prefer to skip the discovery call step and jump right to the one-on-one consultation with our custom design local expert, you can complete the form below. We will travel up to 25 miles radius from the showroom at no charge. If it's further than 25 miles, we may add a nominal fee.
During the site visit, we take precise measurements, assess lighting and flow, and discuss your vision in detail — from functionality to finishes. This allows us to identify the best furniture lines, styles, and configurations for your space
Next, we invite you to our Raleigh showroom for a hands-on experience with our custom design centers. You’ll be able to see and test recommended pieces, explore different materials like fabric, woods, metals, and finish options. Being able to feel the materials for texture and see the colors for matching, you'll be confident with your decisions and make your final selections with expert guidance.
Once your order is ready, our in-house white glove delivery and installation team completes the process with precision and care. Because every step — from design to setup — is handled by our own experienced staff, we maintain complete quality control and ensure a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. The result is a beautifully furnished home, tailored to your style, built to last, and delivered with the attention and expertise you deserve.
